Celebrate Valentine’s Day Without Breaking the Bank

Valentine’s Day is coming, which means the pressure is on to have a special day/night with your significant other. However, between a nice dinner, cards, flowers, and gifts it can be a rather expensive holiday to celebrate.
You don’t have to break the bank to make this Valentine’s Day extra special for your love, however.

Here are some tips on how to make the day special without spending too much:

-Date Night at Home: Plan a romantic dinner at home. Cook together, and get dressed up. Make it fun. Maybe wait until the kids are in bed to have a special late dinner just the two of you.

-Take a Trip Down Memory Lane: Recreate your first date (or as close to it as you can). Or sit together with a glass of wine and look back at all the pictures of the two of you over the years. Laugh at those memories as you relive them together.

-Plan a Scavenger Hunt: Do it just around the house, or go crazy and utilize the town you live in. Leave little notes at each location. Then at the end exchange small gifts that stay within a pre-agreed on budget.

-Make Your Gifts: Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a handmade card or present. Instead of spending a ton of money on flowers, candy, or jewelry, why not make your spouse something special and meaningful?
