- Air Force Aid Society
The Air Force Aid Society is the official charity of the U.S. Air Force. It promotes the Air Force mission by helping “to relieve distress of Air Force members and their families and assisting them to finance their education”. Through the years, AFAS has become increasingly effective in helping individuals with personal emergencies– as well as extremely useful when used by commanders to help solve personnel problems in their units.

The Armed Forces Foundation offers vital assistance to active-duty and retired military personnel, National Guard, Reserve Components and military families. This includes direct financial assistance, therapeutic recreational and outreach programs, hospital dinners and national education initiatives.

AER is the Army’s own emergency financial assistance organization and is dedicated to “Helping the Army Take Care of Its Own.” AER provides commanders a valuable asset in accomplishing their basic command responsibility for the morale and welfare of soldiers
- Coast Guard Foundation
A national nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of the men and women of the Coast Guard and their families. Founded more than 40 years ago, the Coast Guard Foundation provides education, support and relief for the brave men and women, who enforce maritime law, protect our homeland and preserve the environment.
- Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA)
The official relief society of the U.S. Coast Guard. CGMA is a non-profit charitable organization established to provide financial aid to the entire Coast Guard family. While CGMA works closely with the U.S. Coast Guard, it is an independent corporation. Its mission is to promote the financial stability and general well being of Coast Guard people through interest-free loans, grants, and financial counseling.

The mission of Hope For The Warriors® is to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Hope For The Warriors® is dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.
- Luke’s Wings
Provides families of wounded warriors the means to visit their service member during hospitalization and rehabilitation. Luke’s Wings purchases the plane tickets and plans the trips, then Luke’s Wings partners with other non profit who can provide other services including, but not limited to, free or discounted accommodations, meals, entertainment, local travel vouchers, city tours, etc.

Provides financial, educational, and other assistance to members of the US Navy, eligible family members, and survivors when in need. The Society provides assistance in the form of Interest-free loans and grants, scholarships, financial counseling, visiting nurses, and thrift stores.

The mission of Operation First Response, Inc (OFR) is to serve all branches of our nation’s Wounded Heroes and their families with personal and financial needs. Services are provided from the onset of injuries or illness, throughout their recovery period and along their journey from military life to the civilian world.
- Operation Homefront
Assists military families coping with deployment and injury recovery by providing emergency financial assistance to service members and their families as they take corrective action to resolve their financial situations.
- Rebuild Hope
Rebuild Hope helps the families of severely disabled U.S. veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan overcome short term financial problems and build healthier, more stable lives. Rebuild Hope provides grants and no-interest loans, helps veterans develop realistic annual budgets, and offers complementary counseling and referral services.
- Semper Fi Fund
The SFF provides relief for financial needs that arise during hospitalization and recovery as well as assistance for those with perpetuating needs. Our program provides support in a variety of ways including Service Member and Family Support, Specialized & Adaptive Equipment, Adaptive Housing, Adaptive Transportation, Education and Career Transition Assistance, PTSD and TBI Support, Team Semper Fi, and America’s Fund: a self-funded program administered by the Semper Fi Fund that currently assists those service members with catastrophic injuries in intensive care units at our nation’s military hospitals, regardless of what military branch they serve in.
StreetShares is a veteran-owned small business lending marketplace focused on veteran and military-spouse owned businesses. USA Cares exists to help bear the burdens of service by providing post-9/11 military families with financial and advocacy support in their time of need.
- US Soldiers Foundation
The mission of the USSF is to provide additional services to our soldiers, veterans and their families which are not currently being provided. Support will include assistance for the housing needs of returning veterans. This aid will be in the form of low cost mortgages. In addition, insurance, medical, dental, psychological, spiritual, and financial assistance, job placement and education/training. The United States Soldiers Foundation will also employ many veterans in projects around the country.
Designed by Veterans and are delivered by Veterans to provide practical financial solutions geared to real life circumstances of current and former military personnel. Our counselors and educators have been where you are and they are dedicated to your success. In the often confusing atmosphere of stressful financial situations, our Veteran counselors can help break down communication barriers that might exist when Veterans discuss personnel finances with non Veterans
- Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
IRS-certified volunteers provide free basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to people who make $51,000 or less. They can inform taxpayers about special tax credits for which they may qualify such as Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled. VITA sites are generally located throughout the community and on many military installations. Check with your base legal office or family support center for more info.
