This airman is about to compete in the Iditarod and his training is nuts

Here's the true story of an airman competing in the Iditarod this year

By Team MOC

The cold wilds of Alaska aren’t for everyone. But not everyone is Air Force Lt. Col. Roger “Snowdog” Lee. Since 2014, Lee has been training with his 21 sled dogs for the Iditarod, the famed race that is the stuff of legends. The race takes place in early March and runs from Settler’s Bay to Nome. Most teams complete the race somewhere between nine and 15 days.
