The Small Business Administration (SBA) has declared November 2nd-6th as National Veterans Small Business Week. This has been set aside as a time to focus on veterans, issues they may face, and the options available to them for sustaining their small businesses. During this time the SBA posts blogs on different topics, holds social media conversations with industry pros, and provides resources to connect veterans with the tools they need for the startup of their businesses.
According to a 2017 report by the SBA, 9% of all U.S. companies are veteran-owned.
The help available to veteran business owners (present and future) from the SBA is not limited to this single week of the year.
