Every year at the end of December the current year comes to an end, and a new one begins. We are met with overwhelming feelings of nostalgia as we watch the ball drop, ring in the new year, and reflect on the year that has just passed us by. We smile about the good times, and maybe regret the goals that went unmet. Whatever the year has brought us, it constantly runs through our minds on December 31st.
One of the best parts of the clock striking midnight on December 31st is the fact that with a new year, we are all allotted a fresh start. Every twelve months, no matter what has happened in our lives, we are given a chance at a fresh start, a new beginning if you will. This doesn’t mean the fresh start has to be something major like moving, or starting a new career, though that’s good too.
You can use this fresh start however you see fit for yourself and your growth. Maybe you felt your mental health was slipping in the past year, and you want to take steps to better that aspect of your life. Maybe you want to learn to cook. Maybe you want to travel more. Whatever you want to do, you can do.
