February is the month of love. When I think of February, I think of Barry White. Come on, ladies, that deep voice of Mr. White talking to you in his songs, My First, My Last, My Everything or Can’t Get Enough Of Your Love.
Ok, I’m back. Had to pause and jam out for a moment.
Many of us love receiving gifts in February for what we call Valentine’s Day. Chocolates, roses, sometimes diamonds, little getaways, etc. They are all great.
BUT have you considered being your own Valentine all year long?
Gifting yourself a little token of love?
Love is an action word. It’s a verb. We feel loved through people’s actions. Right? So why not show yourself some love from time to time?
One way you can do this and not spend a dime if you don’t want is to gift yourself ME TIME.
ME time is a small amount of time carved out of each day that is for YOU!
ME time happens daily. YES! I take 15 – 30 minutes every morning. I sit on my couch with a cup of coffee and enjoy the silence. It helps me start my day and enter the world in the right frame of mind.
I’m not mom. I’m not wife. I’m not employee. I’m ME.
Since I’ve been showing myself a little love every day, I see a difference in not only myself but those around me. They see that I’m taking care of myself. They feel the energy and not the resentment of being overwhelmed, frustrated, or stressed.
I challenge you to be your own Valentine this year. Gift yourself a little ME time!
Will you accept that challenge? What will you do for your ME time? And a curious mind wants to know, do you like Barry White? Milspouse – Sybil
