LEVELBasic Understanding
The primary responsibility of any employee (military or civilian) is to be a problem solver. Everything we deal with, in both military and civilian work environments, is either an issue or an opportunity. An individual’s true value to an organization is based upon their ability to navigate issues and opportunities in order to maximize benefits for the company while simultaneously minimizing impacts in relation to time, personnel, and money. People who historically excel in problem solving have done so in both simple environments as well as chaotic ones. They do this by Simplifying Complexity, which is the art of breaking down complex situations into manageable elements, so that they know exactly what needs to be done and what challenges they face. During this discussion Ryan will share best practices for Simplifying Complexity. These best practices will highlight methods to organize information, draw clear conclusions, and develop achievable and sustainable solutions.
