Having been there, he know the struggle all too well. As a USAF Major, retired, after 22 years as a fighter pilot, a three-time entrepreneur, now COO of the Polk Institute, he’ll share: • what social entrepreneurship is • how to become one through a free 66-week training at the Polk Institute • what the triple bottom line is and how it translates to success in business Tim describes Polk Institute as a master’s level tech school that will train you to become a self-reliant, effective and successful business owner.

Tim served as a command fighter pilot in the United State Air Force and, after 22 years of service, retired due to medical issues. Then he started and operated three diverse businesses in entertainment, food service and aviation. Subsequently, Tim began a 20-year teaching career and became involved with teaching entrepreneurship. Tim’s program was extremely successful, sending five businesses to the NFTE National Business Plan Competition in New York City in the six years his NFTE kids were eligible. Dura recently received an Outstanding Leadership Award from Education 2.0 in recognition of his contributions to the field of education and learning and serves as the COO of the Polk Institute Foundation, based in Los Angeles, CA.
