Our very FIRST MilSpouseFest event of the year!

That’s right, we will be in San Antonio on March 10th and Fort Hood on March 12th.

We would LOVE for you to join us.

Now, ENJOY the Sip 🙂

WHAT IS A MILSPOUSEFEST EVENT?

MilSpouseFest is a free event developed for military spouses, significant others, and other military family members. With the support of our presenting sponsor USAA, we have 14 events planned for 2020, starting in San Antonio (March 10th) and Fort Hood (March 12th), then on to Fort Drum, Virginia, and North Carolina for the rest of 2020.

Our event is free! Yay!

Lunch will be provided at our daytime events and dinner will be served at our evening events.

We will have an amazing speaker, Corie Weathers who is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), a sought-after speaker, consultant and author of Sacred Spaces: My Journey to the Heart of Military Marriage. Corie has focused her career for the last 20 years as a counselor specializing in marriage, divorce, women’s issues, PTSD, and substance abuse.

We will also have some incredible sponsors starting with our presenting sponsor, USAA. In addition, we will have PCSGrades, Tutor.com, Military by Owner, Spectrum, and more. While we are not a job fair, some of these companies will be looking to hire military spouses.

There will also be giveaways, freebies, and some truly amazing prizes for attendees from veteran and military spouse owned businesses. Businesses such as Combat Flip Flops, Parklane Jewelry, and ZZZbears

We are also looking for volunteers as well as veteran and military spouse owned businesses for our events. Email [email protected] for more information.

You can read more about our events, and sign up for the next one here! Make sure to share it with your networks and friends! Then make plans to come!!! You will be glad you did 🙂

THROW BACK

On February 22nd, 1732, George Washington, Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolution and the first US President, was born in Westmoreland County, Virginia. He was the first of six children and actually never had wooden teeth, his dentures just started to look that way over time. Now you know!

FUN FACTS

Since MilSpouseFest is coming to Texas in March,
here are a few fun facts about the 28th state!

  • El Paso is closer to Needles, CA at 516 miles than it is to Dallas, which is 571 miles.
  • Six Flags the amusement park gets its name from the six nations that have flown their flag over Texas. They are Spain, France, the Confederate States of America, the USA, the Republic of Texas, and Mexico.
  • The Ferris Wheel at the Texas State Fair in Dallas is the largest in the entire Western Hemisphere of the World.
